Chip Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Switch Silicon verification team to design and verify front-end logic for next-generation high-speed switch and GPU chips. The role focuses on developing verification components, reference models, and validating RTL blocks to meet strict power, area, and performance targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically 3–5 years of relevant experience in RTL verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building verification infrastructure and validating chip blocks against specifications.
- Develop verification components and reference models for chip blocks.
- Verify and simulate RTL blocks according to specifications under power, area, and performance constraints.
- Contribute to front-end design and verification activities for Switch silicon and GPU integration.
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Micro-Architecture, and Firmware teams to resolve design and verification issues.
- Participate in design reviews and provide verification status and risk assessments.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills.
- 3–5 years of hands-on RTL verification experience.
- Experience developing verification components and performing RTL simulation and validation.
- Proven ability to work in a design and verification team and collaborate across functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline is listed; completion of programming and logic-design coursework is expected. The posting also allows equivalent practical experience as an alternative to a degree.
