Chip Design Engineer
Role Summary
Work on verification and design of high-speed networking silicon, focusing on RISC-V processor IPs within the Accelerators IP group. The team delivers chips with strict power, area and performance constraints.
The role performs block-level verification against specifications, collaborates with firmware and cross‑site engineering teams, and may span verification and design tasks as required.
Experience Level
Entry-level — 2+ years of relevant experience (guidance provided by the employer).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification and cross-team collaboration:
- Develop and execute verification plans for chip blocks according to specifications and power/area/performance constraints.
- Implement testbenches, simulations and debug flows; analyze results and track coverage and issues.
- Contribute to block design tasks when needed and support integration activities.
- Work closely with firmware, system and global engineering teams to resolve issues and meet delivery targets.
- Document verification status, test results and problem reports.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and desirable skills:
- Must-have: Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in chip design or verification.
- Must-have: Strong English communication skills for global collaboration.
- Nice-to-have: Prior verification experience and familiarity with Specman.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Verilog or other RTL languages.
- Nice-to-have: Strong academic performance (employer mentioned GPA 85+ as differentiator).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience; equivalent experience accepted per employer statement.
