Chip Architect

Role Summary

Define end-to-end architecture for the ConnectX network adapter, from market requirements through design, verification and post-silicon deployments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (physical design, logic design, system software, firmware, applications) and drive proofs of concept, research, and product specifications.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” approximately 4+ years of relevant experience in chip architecture or system integration.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define the Network Adapter chip architecture across the full product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with physical design, logic design, system software, firmware and applications teams.
  • Develop proofs of concept and advance development projects.
  • Perform research and analysis to inform current and future architectures.
  • Produce and maintain product design specifications.
  • Act as an internal focal point and disseminate architectural knowledge across the organization.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • 4+ years in chip architecture, system integration, or related roles.
  • Deep understanding of building and integrating systems with multiple technology components.
  • Knowledge of computing and networking systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to learn complex concepts quickly.
  • High attention to detail and focus on design quality.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with system architecture involving CPU/GPU/Memory/Storage/Networking.

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
