Cell Modeling and Verification Engineer (New College Grad, 2026)
NVIDIAJob Title
Cell Modeling and Verification Engineer (New College Grad, 2026)
Role Summary
Join NVIDIA's VLSI team to develop behavioral models and verification for custom mixed-signal design cells used across NVIDIA products. The role sits at the intersection of circuit and digital design and contributes to RTL modeling, verification, and integration for ASICs and GPUs.
Work involves hands-on modelling, simulation, and collaboration with library, ASIC verification, and DFT teams to meet performance, power, and quality targets.
Experience Level
Entry-level (new college graduate). Suitable for candidates with 0β2 years of relevant experience or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include modeling, verifying, and delivering RTL/behavioral models for mixed-signal cells and supporting integration and verification activities.
- Develop behavioral models and verification environments for custom mixed-signal cells.
- Implement and verify RTL using Verilog/SystemVerilog; perform waveform debug and RTL simulation.
- Use scripting (Python or Perl) to automate simulations, regressions, and data analysis.
- Model and emulate/prototype mixed-signal designs; apply knowledge of PLLs and high-speed interconnects where needed.
- Collaborate with library, ASIC verification, DFT, and integration teams to ensure cell readiness for tapeout.
- Document designs and deliver fully verified, high-performance RTL to meet design targets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience expected from applicants.
- Hands-on experience with RTL simulation and waveform debug.
- Strong understanding of Verilog HDL.
- Scripting experience with Python or Perl.
- Fundamental knowledge of digital and logic design concepts.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with SystemVerilog and running Verilog simulations.
- Previous digital design experience and familiarity with DFT simulation.
- Ability to communicate technical details and collaborate across multiple teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
