CE Marking Coordinator

Role Summary

Coordinate and manage CE marking activities to ensure Analog Devices products comply with applicable EU regulations and standards. Work across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and external test labs to maintain technical files, supporting declarations of conformity and audit readiness.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 3–5 years of regulatory compliance experience for electronic or semiconductor products.

Responsibilities

Manage the CE marking lifecycle and ensure products meet EU safety, health, and environmental requirements.

  • Lead and coordinate CE marking efforts across product portfolios; maintain alignment with relevant EU directives (e.g., EMC, RoHS, REACH, Low Voltage Directive) and UKCA where applicable.
  • Monitor regulatory and standards updates and implement required changes to product compliance approaches.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain technical file documentation and the Declaration of Conformity support materials.
  • Coordinate internal testing and external laboratory certification; act as liaison with notified bodies and test labs.
  • Partner with engineering, design, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements into the product lifecycle.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions on CE marking processes and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct internal audits and serve as primary contact for external audits and inspections related to CE compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver regular compliance status reports and risk assessments to stakeholders.

Requirements

Core skills and experience required to perform the role.

  • 3–5 years' experience in regulatory compliance for electronic or semiconductor products, with direct CE marking experience.
  • Practical knowledge of EU directives and standards relevant to electronics (EMC, Low Voltage Directive, RoHS, REACH).
  • Familiarity with electrical/electronic product design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong documentation management skills and attention to detail for maintaining technical files.
  • Project management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional activities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for training, audits, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 10%).

Nice-to-have:

  • Certification in regulatory compliance or CE marking.
  • Experience with international standards beyond the EU (e.g., UL, FCC).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Regulatory Affairs, or a related technical field is required (or equivalent technical background indicated in the posting). Certifications in regulatory compliance or CE marking are listed as preferred.
