Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role within Texas Instruments' Career Accelerator Program (CAP) focused on product, test, and validation engineering for analog and embedded processing ICs. The program combines formal training and on-the-job projects to develop technical skills and product lifecycle knowledge.

The engineer will support product development, test optimization, qualification and reliability activities, and cross-functional problem solving with manufacturing and customer teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level / new graduate. This role is designed for recent bachelor's degree recipients (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include supporting product readiness, test and validation activities, and manufacturing support for assigned product lines.

• Support new product development, cost reduction, capacity expansion, and yield improvement projects.
• Serve as a point of contact for operational aspects of assigned product portfolio and escalate/resolution of customer quality or application issues.
• Develop and optimize test software and hardware; debug products and test setups.
• Participate in product qualification, reliability testing, and failure verification.
• Use automated test equipment and bench setups for verification and characterization.
• Collaborate with wafer fabrication and assembly manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams for problem solving.
• Document results and contribute to process releases to manufacturing.

Requirements

Minimum academic requirements are listed under Education Requirements below. No other mandatory prior work experience is specified; the CAP is intended to provide ramp-up training.

• Nice-to-have: basic understanding of schematics, PCB layouts, digital components, and analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC, data converters, sensors).
• Nice-to-have: programming skills in C/C++ (LabView recommended) and experience with hardware/software interaction for test systems.
• Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes), soldering, device debugging, and automated test equipment.
• Nice-to-have: strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills, initiative, teamwork, and time management.

Education Requirements
