Career Accelerator Program - Product Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role in Texas Instruments' Career Accelerator Program (CAP). Participants rotate through product, test, and validation engineering tasks to develop technical and professional skills.

Work with cross-functional teams, manufacturing sites, customers and partners to support product development, test and qualification, yield and reliability, and product launch activities for TI analog and embedded processing devices.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career — targeted at recent graduates and engineers in their first year; no specific years-of-experience required.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include hands-on engineering activities across product, test and validation domains:

• Participate in CAP training and on-the-job rotations across product, test and validation engineering.
• Support new product introduction, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield improvement projects to meet profitability targets.
• Develop and debug test software and hardware; optimize test programs and verify manufacturing readiness.
• Perform product debugging, characterization and device validation using bench setups and lab equipment.
• Support product qualification and reliability tests; analyze results and drive corrective actions.
• Serve as operational point of contact for assigned product portfolio; resolve customer quality and application issues.
• Facilitate cross-functional problem solving and maintain communication with wafer fabrication and assembly sites.

• Hands-on troubleshooting and debugging aptitude; comfort using lab equipment and bench setups.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and tools.

Nice-to-have:

• Basic understanding of schematics, PCB layouts and digital components.
• Knowledge of analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensors).
• Programming skills in C/C++ (LabVIEW experience recommended); familiarity with automated test equipment.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, soldering and lab instrumentation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or a related technical field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
