Job Title

Career Accelerator Program - Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Join TI's Career Accelerator Program as a Digital IC Design Engineer working on high-speed mixed-signal SerDes and high-performance digital circuits for automotive audio/video systems. The role focuses on RTL design, verification, synthesis, timing closure and debugging for interfaces such as DisplayPort and MIPI and on integrating digital blocks with analog circuitry.

This position is part of an entry-level development program that provides technical training and on-the-job learning to accelerate early-career engineers into product design teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” targeted at recent graduates participating in TI's Career Accelerator Program. No specific prior years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include design, verification and collaboration across system and product teams:

  • Define architecture and micro-architecture for digital blocks and SerDes subsystems.
  • Write RTL and develop behavioral models for digital functionality.
  • Run simulations, synthesis, static timing analysis and timing closure flows.
  • Perform verification, debug, evaluation and characterization at circuit and behavioral levels.
  • Participate in design reviews and produce design and product documentation.
  • Coordinate with layout, test and product engineering to supervise IC layouts and prototype characterization.
  • Collaborate with analog and digital engineers across teams and contribute in cross-functional work groups.

Requirements

Minimum degree requirements are listed under Education Requirements. Other technical and professional expectations:

  • Must-have: No additional minimum professional experience specified beyond the degree requirement; see Education Requirements.
  • Preferred skills: RTL coding and synchronous/asynchronous digital design skills.
  • Preferred tools and flows: SystemVerilog, simulation tools, code coverage and debug tools; synthesis, STA, lint checkers, CDC checkers, logic equivalence checking.
  • Scripting and automation: Perl, Tcl, Python or similar scripting experience.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to ramp quickly and manage time to deliver on schedule.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field is required. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0. (This listing specifies a Master's degree as the minimum.)
