Role Summary

Entry-level Digital IC Design Engineer participating in Texas Instruments' Career Accelerator Program (CAP). The role focuses on architecting and implementing digital circuits to meet performance, power, cost and schedule targets while receiving structured technical and professional training.

The position involves RTL design, timing-aware physical design work, architectural trade-off analysis, cross-functional collaboration, prototype characterization, and contributing to product documentation and release activities.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early Career — targeted at recent graduates (Career Accelerator Program participants). Specific years of prior industry experience not required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and cross-functional delivery of digital IC blocks and participation in structured on-the-job learning.

  • Design and implement digital logic at the RTL level (Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog).
  • Work with physical design teams to achieve timing closure and meet implementation constraints.
  • Define design specifications in partnership with system engineering and business teams.
  • Perform high-level architecture trade-off analysis to meet performance, power, and cost targets.
  • Participate in design reviews and maintain necessary design and product documentation.
  • Characterize prototypes, develop test specifications, and coordinate with test/product engineering to support product releases.
  • Engage in CAP training and rotational experiences including exposure to verification and analog design.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher required.
