Camera IP Verification - Sr Lead Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for IP-level verification of Qualcomm Spectra camera subsystem modules for next-generation products. The engineer will plan and execute module and subsystem verification, own verification deliverables end-to-end, and work with IP verification, design, and system leads to meet functional and coverage goals.
Experience Level
Level: Senior. Typical hires have mid-to-senior experience (insights indicate 4–8 years), with demonstrated RTL verification and IP ownership experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on verification of camera signal-processing IP and ensuring delivery of high-quality, verified modules.
- Plan and execute IP and subsystem verification for camera/Spectra modules.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, assertions, and coverage metrics.
- Perform RTL debug and coverage closure; drive bug triage with design teams.
- Integrate firmware/emulation flows (e.g., Veloce) and use GLS as needed for verification.
- Collaborate with IP Verification, Design, and System leads to define verification strategy and deliverables.
- Continuously enhance verification environments and methodologies for new features.
Requirements
Technical skills and experience required and preferred. Education requirements are summarized separately below.
- Must-have: 3+ years of RTL design verification experience using SystemVerilog and UVM with industry-standard simulators.
- Strong coverage-driven verification and RTL debug skills; assertions and DPI experience.
- Familiarity with AMBA/AHB/AXI bus protocols and ARM-based system architecture.
- Experience with scripting using Perl, Python, or similar languages for verification automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and verification aptitude.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with power-aware simulation, camera-specific verification, firmware/emulation flows (e.g., Veloce), and GLS.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of hardware engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 1 year of hardware engineering experience; OR a PhD in a related field.
