Job Title

Camera DV Engineer

Role Summary

Work on verification of camera/imaging IP and pipelines across mobile, automotive, XR, IoT and compute platforms. Collaborate with design, software and firmware teams to define verification strategy, build verification infrastructure, and close functional and performance coverage.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical candidates have several years of hands-on verification or related engineering experience (generally within the 3–7 year range).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification for camera subsystems and imaging pipelines.

  • Lead technical discussions across design, software and firmware teams to define imaging verification scope and data flows.
  • Implement and maintain testbenches using object-oriented techniques and UVM/OVM methodology.
  • Develop parameterized, scalable verification plans and test infrastructure.
  • Create complex constraints and sequences to exercise corner-case algorithm and pipeline tuning scenarios.
  • Verify functionality and power/performance KPIs for use cases.
  • Use simulation, formal, assertions and emulation flows to achieve required functional and code coverage.
  • Debug complex RTL and verification issues across multiple platforms.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and feature descriptions.
  • Design and implement AI-driven verification workflows to improve productivity.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful execution of the role.

  • Experience defining verification test plans and developing verification infrastructure using OOP and UVM.
  • Expertise with Hardware Verification Languages and SystemVerilog testbenches (UVM/OVM).
  • Experience developing directed tests and constrained-random stimulus.
  • Strong digital design understanding and RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with coverage-driven verification and methods to close coverage gaps.
  • Proven ability to debug across simulation, emulation and other verification platforms.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and verification plans.
  • Nice-to-have: experience integrating AI/agentic tools into verification flows; formal verification experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, with experience requirements that vary by degree: Bachelor's +4 years, Master's +3 years, PhD +2 years of relevant Software, Hardware or Systems Engineering experience (equivalent practical experience may be considered).
