CAD-Synthesis Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Chip Methodology & Automation (CMA) team within Arm's Solutions Engineering organization to develop and deploy synthesis methodologies, automation, and flows for Arm-based SoC implementation. The role focuses on low-power synthesis, DFT insertion, synthesis workflow integration, and improving PPA across advanced process nodes.

Responsibilities

The role requires developing methodologies and automation, integrating synthesis tools into front-end flows, and supporting teams to achieve production-ready results.

  • Design and implement methodologies and automation for low-power synthesis and DFT insertion.
  • Improve, deploy and maintain the SIMPL flow-tracer tool or equivalent synthesis automation.
  • Add features and integration hooks to the synthesis workflow; enable front-end teams to run and analyze flows.
  • Troubleshoot PPA bottlenecks and recommend power-user features to improve quality.
  • Support front-end teams with limited synthesis experience to resolve issues and ensure reliable flows.
  • Work with advanced technodes to achieve efficient PPA across multiple process nodes.
  • Ensure successful deployment and adoption of methodologies and flows across teams.
