CAD Intern
Role Summary
Paid internship supporting CAD engineering and FAE activities for power semiconductor products. The intern will work with experienced CAD engineers on PDK testing, tool configuration, scripting, and documentation to support circuit and layout designers.
Experience Level
Entry-level (internship). Intended for undergraduate students; typically junior-level. No specific years of post-graduate experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Participate in test PDK library development and DRC/LVS deck work
- Provide CAD services, utilities and scripts to circuit/layout designers
- Create and maintain CAD-related documentation
- Support tool configuration, setup, and application for CAD workflows
Requirements
Technical skills and competencies required:
- Understanding of analog and digital design
- Knowledge of semiconductor process
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting
- Experience with DFII, SKILL, Perl, or Tcl for CAD tool scripting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Education Requirements
Enrolled as a junior-level undergraduate in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering bachelor's degree program.
