CAD Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and maintain EDA tool integrations, flows, and methodologies to improve productivity and reliability for DRAM-related designs. Provide support, documentation, and training to design, layout, verification and process teams.

Perform R&D on next-generation CAD software, evaluate commercial EDA products, and define improved flows for efficiency and cost.

Experience Level

Mid-level — approximately 5 years of relevant experience in CAD/EDA or related roles.

Responsibilities

Key day-to-day responsibilities:

• Develop, integrate, and maintain EDA tools and automated flows for memory (DRAM/NAND/HBM) design.
• Provide training, documentation, and user support for new tools and methods.
• Collaborate with design, layout, verification, and process teams to resolve tool and flow issues.
• Track, analyze, and resolve EDA tool and flow problems; provide bug reports and workarounds.
• Evaluate commercial EDA offerings and prototype improved design flows to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
• Perform netlisting, simulation, and front-end activities supporting DRAM, NAND and HBM design teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Experience with simulation and verification tools for Verilog, including SPICE and logic simulators.
• Experience with static timing analysis (STA) tools and flows, e.g., PrimeTime.
• Experience with parasitic extraction tools.
• Familiarity with TSMC-based design and verification flows.
• Experience using schematic and layout composer tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
