C++ Machine Learning Engineer, Models Training

Role Summary

As a C++ Machine Learning Engineer on the AI Models team, you will implement and optimize components of the ML training framework to run efficiently on Tenstorrent custom silicon. The role focuses on high-performance C++ development, operator and layer implementation, and scaling models across hardware.

This position is hybrid, based in Warsaw or Gdansk, Poland; remote within Poland considered case-by-case.

Experience Level

Open to multiple experience levels; the interview process will determine the appropriate level and offer. No specific years of experience required.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the training framework, optimize model performance, and collaborate with compiler and kernel teams.

  • Implement and optimize operators, layers, and training features in high-performance C++.
  • Debug, profile, and tune models on Tenstorrent hardware.
  • Collaborate with compiler and kernel teams to ensure models compile and run correctly.
  • Integrate real-world models and support production deployment.
  • Work on memory layout, operator fusion, and performance-critical code paths.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and constraints for the role.

  • Strong C++ and low-level systems programming experience in performance-critical code.
  • Practical understanding of tensors, memory layout, and computation/ compiler graphs.
  • Familiarity with PyTorch or similar ML frameworks and how frameworks map to hardware.
  • Experience debugging and tuning model performance; profiling and optimization skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with compiler and kernel engineers.
  • Eligible to work in Poland; employment may be contingent on ability to access U.S. export-controlled technology (citizenship/permanent residency or prior license may be required).

Nice-to-have: experience with RISC-V, operator fusion, kernel development, or large-scale training infrastructure.
