Job Title

Bluetooth (BT) Design Verification Senior Engineer

Role Summary

Work on RTL-level design verification for Bluetooth hardware IP and SoC subsystems targeting mobile, wearable and IoT products. The role covers verification planning, testbench architecture, test development, simulation/emulation/formal verification, and RTL debug during pre-silicon development.

Collaborate with global Design, Systems, SoC, Validation and Firmware teams, take ownership of IP/block/sub-system verification, and mentor junior engineers.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Typical experience range: 3–6 years of design verification experience (industry experience on VLSI/ASIC verification recommended).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification strategy, test development, and cross-team coordination:

  • Analyze hardware design specs and develop verification plans and strategies.
  • Design and implement testbenches and medium-to-complex SystemVerilog/UVM environments.
  • Write efficient constraint-random tests and manage functional and code coverage goals.
  • Use simulation, emulation, gate-level simulation (GLS) and formal techniques to achieve verification closure.
  • Perform RTL and testbench debug, including using waveform and debug tools (e.g., Verdi).
  • Drive cross-functional convergence with design, firmware, validation and system teams.
  • Mentor new hires and less-experienced colleagues; estimate effort and mitigate verification risks.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items follow.

  • Strong knowledge of HDLs: Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments.
  • Proven ability to write constraint-random tests and achieve functional/code coverage targets.
  • Experience with verification flows including simulation and emulation; familiarity with GLS and formal methods a plus.
  • Strong RTL/testbench debugging skills using tools such as Verdi (or equivalent).
  • Good analytical skills and independent problem-solving; clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to take ownership of IP/block/sub-system verification and work with minimal supervision.
  • Nice-to-have: exposure to Bluetooth/BLE technologies, scripting (Python, Perl), VIP integration and SoC integration experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, Communications or related engineering fields. The posting indicates degree-based experience combinations (e.g., Bachelor’s + ~2 years; Master’s + ~1 year; or PhD). Specific degree-level options were listed across the source.
