Job Title

BSP Embedded Software Engineer

Role Summary

Lead platform bring-up and platform-level software for SoC-based products, collaborating with hardware, software, and product teams. Primary focus is triage and debug of platform issues related to SoC interaction, and defining platform standards and part selection.

Role is based in Pune and involves ownership of platform software across multiple SoC generations and packaging/process compatibility.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 5+ years of relevant experience in SoC/platform bring-up and embedded software.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive platform bring-up activities and coordinate cross-functional integration (hardware, firmware, drivers, product).
  • Triage and debug platform problems, with emphasis on SoC interactions and system-level root cause analysis.
  • Define platform component requirements, hardware definition standards, and influence part selection.
  • Lead development of platform software for multiple SoC generations.
  • Manage SoC packaging/process compatibility and verify performance across platform components.
  • Research and propose adoption of new SoC and platform technologies to improve future products.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

  • 5+ years experience developing platform/SoC-level features and resolving system issues.
  • Proven experience handling platform bring-up and platform-level feature development.
  • Deep understanding of Windows kernel drivers.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++; experience with assembly is required.
  • Extensive experience with debugging tools and methodologies for embedded/SoC platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
  • Leadership and teamwork experience; able to coordinate across disciplines.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience accepted.
