BIOS Technical Leader (IC role)
Role Summary
Lead and coordinate platform firmware development and validation across AMD rack platforms, covering pre-chip and post-chip phases. Work closely with firmware engineers, architects and cross-functional teams (e.g., AGESA/GPU/Core) to design, implement and validate BIOS and related firmware features.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on technical leadership, cross-team coordination, and firmware validation.
- Provide in-depth technical analysis and engineering support for platform firmware.
- Coordinate with AGESA and CPU teams to validate CPU patches on compute trays.
- Participate in firmware development and status reviews to align with front-end FW-TPM schedules.
- Design and implement platform firmware across AMD rack levels for pre-chip and post-chip phases.
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders on AMD feature and programming requirements.
- Review BIOS source code and troubleshoot technical issues with BIOS engineers.
Requirements

- Proven firmware development experience and strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to coordinate across engineering teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
- Preferred / Nice-to-have: BIOS experience; BMC SoC and embedded Linux feature implementation; familiarity with x86 architecture; experience with AMI or EDK2 firmware architectures; experience with RAS; ability to read and discuss BIOS source code with engineers.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
