The Back End Tester Sustaining Senior Engineer sustains and improves semiconductor test equipment to meet production requirements, focusing on reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.

Experience Level
Senior — minimum 5–7 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing or equipment engineering.
Responsibilities
Accountable for maintaining tester equipment reliability, resolving failures, and leading improvements to support production.
- Maintain and support tester equipment to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and analyze downtime trends.
- Support equipment qualification, setup, conversion, and commissioning activities.
- Work closely with Production, Process, and Quality teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to improve OEE, productivity, and equipment stability.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors for technical support and upgrades.
- Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance records, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications for effective performance in the role.
- Must-have: 5–7 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing or equipment engineering.
- Must-have: Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must-have: Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with semiconductor tester equipment.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of TPM, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
