Automotive Platforms Engineer
Role Summary
The Automotive Platforms Engineer will support planning, design, verification, testing and bring-up of electronic systems for automotive products. Work spans digital, analog, RF and optical domains as well as FPGA/DSP systems, test systems, equipment and packaging.
Works with cross-functional teams to integrate features, improve yield and test flows, and meet performance and delivery targets.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include supporting hardware design, verification, test and manufacturing integration for automotive platforms.
- Support planning, optimization, verification and testing of electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, packaging, test systems, FPGA and DSP systems.
- Assist integration of features and functionality into hardware designs per proposals and roadmaps.
- Perform simulations and analyses to optimize power, performance and area; assist with implementation of designs.
- Collaborate with team members to implement requirements and incorporate test solutions to improve yield, test time and quality.
- Evaluate, characterize and develop manufacturing and bring-up solutions to meet customer expectations and schedules.
- Assist reliability evaluation of materials, properties and techniques and contribute automation and optimization to improve productivity.
- Assess design features for potential flaws, compatibility or compliance issues.
- Write technical documentation for hardware projects.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required or strongly preferred (education items are listed under Education Requirements below).
- At least 1 year experience with circuit design (digital, analog, RF) β practical, hands-on experience preferred.
- Experience using schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
- Experience with hardware measurement and test instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc.).
- Ability to perform simulations and analyses and to assist implementation to meet power, performance and area targets.
- Experience supporting manufacturing bring-up, yield improvement, and test optimization.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; able to produce technical documentation.
- Comfort working under supervision and collaborating in cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: experience with automation in test/manufacturing and familiarity with reliability evaluation methods.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. (These degree expectations appeared in the posting.)
