Job Title
Automotive Architect
Role Summary
Architect and design high-volume automotive SoC platforms (targeting ADAS and IVI devices) on leading-edge process nodes. Partner with Arm internal architecture and core technology teams and with external silicon partners to deliver production-quality silicon that meets performance, power, safety, and security requirements.
Experience Level
Senior — typically requires 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience in senior development or leadership roles.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define and develop Arm SoC architectures based on Arm IP and system-level requirements for automotive devices.
- Coordinate across Arm architecture and core technology teams to plan architecture platforms and feature roadmaps supporting SoC needs.
- Collaborate with SoC architects and engineering teams to scale designs across multiple partners and manage multiple engagements in parallel.
- Ensure timely delivery and integration of Arm IP into SoCs and feed learnings from SoC development back into IP direction.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, staying current with industry trends and new technologies.
- Lead partner and customer architecture discussions and mature specifications to a state suitable for design and implementation teams.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- Significant experience architecting scalable automotive SoCs on leading-edge process nodes.
- Practical experience developing FuSa-compliant architectures supporting mixed-criticality compute up to ASIL-D; familiarity with FMEA analysis and fault detection/management/isolation techniques.
- Proven expertise in multiple of the following: heterogeneous compute architectures, power management, clocking, coherent and non-coherent interconnect, PCIe/CXL, multi-level caching, functional profiling & debug, security and access control, virtualization, memory hierarchies, 2.5D/3D packaging, performance/power modeling & estimation, soft real-time accelerators, DRAM technologies.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present at executive level and influence across engineering and business organizations.
- Around 10+ years in a senior development or leadership position within the semiconductor industry with a track record of delivering complex projects.
Nice-to-have:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Experience challenging the status quo constructively at senior levels.
- Consistent track record of timely, to-specification delivery of multiple sophisticated projects in parallel.
Education Requirements
