Job Title
ATE Test Engineer
Role Summary
Design, develop, and support automated test equipment (ATE) solutions to transfer NVIDIA GPU and compute products from engineering to high-volume manufacturing. The role works across product development, DFT, IC design, and overseas manufacturing teams to improve yield, test coverage, capacity, and cost.
Experience Level
Mid-level (5+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities center on ATE program development, automation, and production support.
- Define, develop, implement, and maintain ATE test programs for NVIDIA chips and assembled boards.
- Develop and debug ATE test method code and scripting/automation tools.
- Debug product failures with cross-functional teams (Product Development, DFT, IC design) and implement corrective solutions.
- Work with overseas manufacturing to increase yield, test coverage, and test capacity while reducing production costs.
- Support test validation, characterization, and production ramp activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills; items marked as nice-to-have are listed separately.
- 5+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience.
- Knowledge of silicon verification, test, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Silicon Photonics, CPO, optical engines, and high-speed IO.
- Hands-on experience with the Advantest 93K ATE platform (essential).
- Proficient with Linux and programming/scripting (C/C++, Java, Perl, Python).
- Experience with SRAM testing and 2.5D or MCM assembly.
- Understanding of DFT insertion techniques including SCAN, ATPG, MBIST, and IOBIST.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with global cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: system-level testing/validation experience and applying AI techniques in ATE testing.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
