Job Title

ATE Test Engineer

Role Summary

Design, develop, and support automated test equipment (ATE) solutions to transfer NVIDIA GPU and compute products from engineering to high-volume manufacturing. The role works across product development, DFT, IC design, and overseas manufacturing teams to improve yield, test coverage, capacity, and cost.

Experience Level

Mid-level (5+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities center on ATE program development, automation, and production support.

  • Define, develop, implement, and maintain ATE test programs for NVIDIA chips and assembled boards.
  • Develop and debug ATE test method code and scripting/automation tools.
  • Debug product failures with cross-functional teams (Product Development, DFT, IC design) and implement corrective solutions.
  • Work with overseas manufacturing to increase yield, test coverage, and test capacity while reducing production costs.
  • Support test validation, characterization, and production ramp activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills; items marked as nice-to-have are listed separately.

  • 5+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience.
  • Knowledge of silicon verification, test, and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with Silicon Photonics, CPO, optical engines, and high-speed IO.
  • Hands-on experience with the Advantest 93K ATE platform (essential).
  • Proficient with Linux and programming/scripting (C/C++, Java, Perl, Python).
  • Experience with SRAM testing and 2.5D or MCM assembly.
  • Understanding of DFT insertion techniques including SCAN, ATPG, MBIST, and IOBIST.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with global cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: system-level testing/validation experience and applying AI techniques in ATE testing.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
