ATE Test Development Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and validate automated test equipment (ATE) programs and methodologies for Broadcom ASICs at the Allentown, PA or Fort Collins, CO development centers. Collaborate with test-hardware, design, and validation teams to isolate failures, support qualification, and improve test coverage and reliability.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include implementing ATE test programs, diagnosing failures, and supporting qualification and R&D test activities.
- Develop test flows, test methods and validate test programs on ATE.
- Create characterization and diagnostic programs to isolate failing circuitry for RMA and failure analysis.
- Design and deploy structural and functional test methodologies to meet performance and power objectives.
- Support qualification testing, failure verification, and specification searches.
- Perform electrical and thermal root-cause analysis and present findings to cross-functional teams.
- Test parts, analyze results and prepare reports to drive corrective actions.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and hands-on experience required for the role.
- Hands-on experience with Advantest (93K / ExaScale) and/or Teradyne tester platforms; SmarTest7/8 experience is a plus.
- Ability to independently develop complex ATE test programs and flows targeting performance and power specifications.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting failure mechanisms in silicon and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in volume data analysis and data-analysis tools/languages to correlate failures with system behavior.
- Programming experience for test method development (test languages or scripting).
- Experience working with test-hardware development teams and understanding hardware effects on chip behavior.
- Experience conducting extreme temperature testing of ASICs on ATE.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering (or closely related field). The posting specifies 8+ years of relevant experience.
