ATE Test Development Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level Test Development Engineer on the Hardware Engineering team. Develop cost-effective manufacturing test solutions for Qualcomm Connectivity SoCs on Teradyne UltraFLEX and Advantest V93000 ATE platforms. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams on test plan development, silicon bring-up, debug, data analysis, and yield/test-time improvements.

Responsibilities
Deliver and support manufacturing test solutions and related activities across test development, characterization, and production.
- Develop and execute ATE test programs and debug flows for Connectivity SoCs on UltraFLEX and/or Advantest V93000.
- Create and maintain characterization and test plans based on product requirements.
- Identify DFT and test hardware needs to meet measurement and interface requirements.
- Support first-silicon bring-up, failure analysis, and issue closure with senior engineers and suppliers.
- Perform parametric data analysis, yield monitoring, and test time reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with IC design, system engineering, and applications teams to deliver test solutions.
- Document test procedures and share knowledge to support team execution.
Requirements
Key skills and practical experience expected for successful candidates.
- Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals: digital, analog, and mixed-signal concepts, and basic VLSI.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting (C/C++, Java, Perl, Python or similar) for test development.
- Ability to use common test and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
- Strong verbal and written communication; proactive and eager to learn in a team environment.
- Familiarity with ATE platforms (Teradyne UltraFLEX, Advantest V93000) or willingness to learn.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience or coursework in ATE, DFT, yield analysis, or test program development.
- Knowledge of device physics and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data-driven yield improvement.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree required in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred. No certifications or explicit equivalent-experience language specified.
