ATD QEV Product Engineer
Role Summary
Work as a product engineer on the ATD QEV team within Advanced Technology Development (ATD). The role focuses on developing test hardware and software, characterizing and validating mixed-signal integrated circuits, and supporting technology qualification for advanced process nodes. This position is part of a 12-month TMG Development program for new college graduates and includes structured technical training and on-the-job learning.

Entry-level - new college graduate. Suitable for candidates with approximately 0β2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include test development, silicon characterization, and cross-functional coordination to qualify advanced process technology nodes.
- Develop characterization and test plans with process and business-unit stakeholders.
- Create ATE test hardware and software for analog and mixed-signal prototypes.
- Design probe and package ATE test hardware using Cadence Allegro for schematics and PCB layouts.
- Design HTOL (burn-in) evaluation circuits and develop bench evaluation programs for reliability stress testing.
- Perform silicon validation and parametric characterization; report performance and yield opportunities.
- Perform IC circuit debugging, process validation, and failure analysis; collaborate with Failure Analysis to determine root causes.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional attributes; preferred items listed separately.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, curve tracers, spectrum analyzers, return loss analyzers) for data collection and device debugging.
- Experience bench-testing analog and mixed-signal circuits (op-amps, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, regulators, current mirrors) and digital circuits.
- Programming skills for test automation; experience with C, C++, and/or Python.
- Familiarity with integrated-circuit failure analysis and reliability testing procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, manage time, and communicate technical results clearly.
- Authorized to work in the United States; Texas Instruments will not sponsor visas or work authorization for this position.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of statistics and tools to analyze characterization data and set production test limits.
- Solid understanding of discrete electrical components and mixed-signal circuit operation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BS EE) or equivalent degree required; posting specifies Bachelor's degree level and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0. The listing allows equivalent practical experience.
