Job Title

Associate Test Engineer (SWIFT/Altair)

Role Summary

Join a test engineering team that sets up, calibrates, tests and troubleshoots circuits, instruments and assemblies for semiconductor manufacturing equipment (SWIFT/Altair product lines). The role executes test procedures, diagnoses failures, documents results and recommends corrective actions.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Suitable for candidates with roughly 1–3 years of relevant hands-on experience; technical-school graduates and recent graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and executing tests, diagnosing issues and producing technical reports.

  • Set up, calibrate and test circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
  • Develop or follow test specifications, methods and procedures from drawings and diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot assemblies and systems; perform rework as needed.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommended solutions.
  • Assist in selection and setup of specialized test equipment.
  • Work independently on complex assignments and, when required, supervise nonexempt personnel.

  • Ability to read complex drawings and apply mathematics and handbook formulas; use precision testing and measuring instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for experiment setup and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work/rotate shifts, be stationed in a cleanroom environment and support/commit to overtime.
  • Nice-to-have: experience in optics and testing of digital and/or analog systems.
  • Nice-to-have: prior hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, or Technical School certificate; equivalent practical work experience accepted (minimum ~1 year of relevant work experience noted). Fields: engineering or related technical disciplines.
