Associate Test Engineer
Role Summary
Hands-on test engineer who performs setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies on semiconductor equipment.
Works within the test/validation team to execute test procedures, document findings, and support equipment brought through manufacturing or R&D test processes.
Experience Level
Entry-level — technical education with more than 1 year of relevant hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Set up, calibrate and operate test equipment and instruments for assemblies and final systems.
- Develop or follow test specifications, methods and procedures from drawings and diagrams.
- Perform troubleshooting and rework on assemblies or systems identified during testing.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing test results and recommended solutions.
- Assist in selection, setup and maintenance of specialized test equipment as required.
- Work in shifts and follow cleanroom procedures as needed.
Requirements
Must-have competencies and experience:
- Ability to read technical drawings and procedures and use precision testing and measuring instruments.
- Previous hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; ability to set up experiments and perform data analysis.
- Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in shifts and in a cleanroom environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with optics alignment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent technical education. Posting indicates >1 year of relevant technical/industry experience.
