Associate System Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Integrate hardware, software, firmware, and system-level technologies into validated solutions. Work on multidisciplinary teams to support prototyping, integration, testing, validation, and product release activities for semiconductor-based systems.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Typical experience expected: 0–2 years in systems engineering, system integration, or related roles.

Responsibilities

Deliver and verify system-level solutions through hands-on integration and testing, and communicate results to project teams.

  • Integrate hardware, firmware, and software components; support prototype bring-up and system integration.
  • Design and execute test plans, validation procedures, and system verification activities.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis of system failures.
  • Evaluate system performance, reliability, interoperability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret test data; recommend design or process improvements.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, test, manufacturing, product, and applications teams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and integration procedures.
  • Present status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders; support continuous improvement efforts.
  • May require up to ~10% travel.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and working habits required for the role.

  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals related to hardware, embedded systems, communications, or system-level design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience interpreting schematics and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing, debugging, validation, and system evaluation through coursework, projects, internships, or work experience.
  • Ability to read and analyze test results and technical documentation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting (e.g., Python, C/C++, MATLAB) and test automation is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Awareness of export-control constraints: applicants who are not U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or other protected individuals may be subject to export licensing review.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. The role typically expects 0–2 years of relevant experience. Equivalent practical experience or coursework/projects/internships that demonstrate systems integration skills may be acceptable.
