Job Title
Associate Staff Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on functional verification for Wireless MCU SoCs as part of the IoT Digital Design team. The role focuses on planning and executing verification for SoC and IP blocks, building SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, driving coverage closure, and supporting pre-silicon and occasional post-silicon debug.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5β10+ years of design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification planning, testbench development, and cross-team debugging and analysis.
- Develop and execute verification plans for SoC/IP blocks and mixed-signal designs.
- Design, build, and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM-based testbenches.
- Create directed and constrained-random test cases and drive functional coverage closure.
- Implement and use assertions (SVA) and perform regression analysis.
- Debug RTL and verification failures across simulation and emulation environments.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, architecture, firmware/software, and validation teams.
- Improve verification methodologies, automation, and CI/emulation flows.
- Support pre-silicon and occasionally post-silicon debug activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to verification strategy.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience required for the role.
- 5β10+ years of hands-on design verification experience.
- SystemVerilog and UVM testbench development experience.
- RTL and gate-level simulation and debug; experience with emulation platforms.
- Functional coverage methodology and assertions (SVA).
- Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or TCL) for automation and regression flows.
- SoC/IP verification experience, including CDC/RDC and low-power verification concepts.
- Experience with mixed-signal / AMS verification.
- Familiarity with AMBA/AXI/APB protocols, embedded systems, MCU subsystems, and wireless SoCs.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills; ability to work across architecture, RTL, firmware, and validation teams.
