Associate Staff CAD Engineer - Physical Verification
Role Summary
Work on the Central CAD Physical Verification (PV) team to develop and maintain physical verification rule decks (DRC, LVS, antenna, dummy fill, density, PERC, extraction) and PV flows. Collaborate with design, layout, ESD, foundry, and vendor teams to collect specifications, debug tool issues, and release validated PV methodologies.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include rule-deck development, automation, and cross-team support during the design lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain physical verification rule decks (DRC, LVS, antenna, dummy fill, density, XOR, PERC, extraction).
- Drive impact analysis and specification meetings with stakeholders for deck releases.
- Collaborate with CAD, ESD, design, layout, and foundry teams to obtain specifications and resolve PV issues.
- Create and run QA testcases and perform code reviews to validate rule decks.
- Develop and automate PV flows and methodologies to improve quality and runtime performance.
- Evaluate and benchmark new tools and features; work with external vendors to report and track software bugs.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across PV decks, flows, and methodologies.
Requirements
