Associate Product Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role focused on developing application tools, reference designs, and documentation that help customers integrate Analog Devices products. The role supports product validation, cross-functional product introductions, and customer technical support.

Work with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to produce practical solutions that accelerate customer designs and product market entry.

Experience Level

Entry-level. 0–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain application tools, reference boards, and demonstration software to showcase product capabilities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers during their design process.
  • Develop foundational system-level understanding to assist in component integration.
  • Participate in product validation and road testing to verify specifications and boundary conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales) to support product development and introductions.
  • Support competitive analysis of products and evaluation kits to provide technical insights.
  • Produce clear technical documentation for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with qualification testing and related processes.

Requirements

Must-have skills and abilities:

  • Basic system-level design understanding and the ability to learn component interactions within larger systems.
  • Foundational experience creating application tools, reference boards, or demonstration software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Clear technical communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with test equipment and measurement techniques.
  • Able to collaborate across disciplines and adapt to different perspectives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. 0–2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Internship or project experience in applications engineering or related areas is a plus.
