Associate Mixed Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design, simulate, characterize, and validate mixed-signal integrated circuits and subsystems as part of an analog IC engineering team. Contribute across the product development lifecycle from schematic design and simulation through lab characterization and silicon validation.

Entry-level β€” 0–2 years of relevant experience (graduate/new hire).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities span circuit design, verification, and cross-functional integration.

  • Design, develop, and analyze mixed-signal circuit blocks and subsystems.
  • Perform circuit simulation, modeling, and performance analysis.
  • Participate in schematic design, circuit verification, characterization, and silicon validation.
  • Develop and execute test and characterization plans; perform lab measurements.
  • Collaborate with analog, digital, layout, product, test, and applications engineering teams.
  • Support integration of analog and digital blocks into larger system-level solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications and test reports.

Requirements

Key technical skills and workplace expectations.

  • Understanding of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices, CMOS technologies, and integrated circuit design concepts.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation, analysis, and verification methodologies.
  • Exposure to industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence and SPICE.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Required travel: up to 10% of the time.
  • Candidates requiring export licensing review may undergo additional screening.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Typical experience: 0–2 years in mixed-signal, analog, or digital design, or equivalent exposure through coursework, internships, research, or professional experience. Familiarity with tools such as Cadence, SPICE, and MATLAB is preferred.
