Associate Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development

Role Summary

Join the Automotive Test Engineering team to support development, validation, and release of new automotive semiconductor products. Work hands-on with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust test hardware, software, and procedures for product qualification and manufacturing readiness.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” recent graduates encouraged; typically 0–3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on test solution development, execution, and supporting new product introduction.

  • Develop and validate test hardware and software for new automotive products.
  • Support NPI activities including product characterization, qualification, and data collection.
  • Execute test protocols, troubleshoot failures, and analyze test data to identify trends.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability and reliability.
  • Document test procedures, results, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in equipment maintenance, lab organization, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Learn and apply relevant industry standards (for example, AEC-Q100 and ISO 26262) where applicable.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Basic understanding of test methodologies, semiconductor devices, and data analysis tools (for example Excel, JMP).
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with lab/test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Must-have: Basic programming or scripting ability (Python, C, or similar).
  • Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Internship, project, or lab experience in test engineering, electronics, or the semiconductor industry.
  • Other: Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field is required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Internship, project, or lab experience in test engineering or semiconductors is a plus.
