Job Title

Associate Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development

Role Summary

Support development, validation, and release of automotive semiconductor products by implementing and executing test hardware and software, validating designs through characterization and qualification, and improving test methodologies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and validate test solutions for new automotive products, including test hardware and software.
  • Support new product introduction activities: product characterization, qualification, and data collection.
  • Execute test protocols, troubleshoot test setups, and analyze test data to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability and reliability.
  • Document test procedures, results, and best practices.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, equipment maintenance, and lab organization.
  • Learn and apply relevant industry standards and quality requirements (for example AEC-Q100, ISO 26262) as required by projects.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience, plus desirable qualifications:

  • Must-have: Basic understanding of test methodologies, semiconductor devices, and data analysis tools (for example Excel, JMP).
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with common test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Must-have: Good teamwork and communication skills; attention to detail; willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to troubleshoot test issues and perform data-driven analysis.
  • Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10% travel).
  • Nice-to-have: Basic programming or scripting (Python, C or similar); internship, project, or lab experience in test engineering or the semiconductor industry.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with NPI, product characterization, qualification, or familiarity with automotive standards such as AEC-Q100 and ISO 26262.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related technical field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
