Job Title

Associate Engineer, Test Engineering

Role Summary

Support test process operation in a wafer test module to meet production, quality, and safety goals. The role works on 12-hour rotating shifts to operate and maintain test equipment, implement process controls and improvements, and reduce defects and failure rates.

Collaborate with module specialists and supplier representatives to investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, create process job-files for production set-up, and maintain cleanroom safety and housekeeping.

Experience Level

Entry-level; expects approximately 1–2 years of relevant experience in test engineering or wafer-fab production.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on operating test equipment, maintaining process control, and supporting continuous improvement in a production test module.

  • Perform 12-hour rotating shift duties to support module operations and meet objectives.
  • Develop and implement methods/procedures for test process control and production improvements.
  • Coordinate with specialists to ensure efficient execution and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Design, operate, and maintain test equipment and fixtures to ensure quality and minimize defects.
  • Analyze reports and charts to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on quality problems and support supplier quality improvement activities.
  • Create and maintain process job-files for test equipment production set-up.
  • Maintain good housekeeping, safe custody of tools and equipment, and comply with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in test engineering or wafer-fab production (relevant education acceptable).
  • Ability to perform 12-hour rotating shift work.
  • Physically able to carry and attend to test fixtures and equipment in a cleanroom environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.

Education Requirements

Diploma in Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering is specified; relevant education or equivalent practical experience is accepted.
