Role Summary
Entry-level embedded software engineer role supporting the Security Product & Technology Software group. The engineer will contribute to ADI's security solutions and cryptography libraries as part of a global development team based in Istanbul.
Work includes design, implementation, testing, and integration of cryptography and security software for embedded platforms; mentoring and professional development are provided.
Experience Level
Entry-level (new graduate / 0β3 years of relevant experience).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and enhance security solutions and cryptography libraries.
- Plan technical scope, architecture, and develop code meeting cryptographic standards and secure payment industry requirements.
- Design and implement embedded system software; develop tests and testing tools for embedded platforms.
- Ensure proper software development lifecycle practices: testing, debugging, integration, and documentation.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to satisfy certification criteria.
- Work effectively within a geographically distributed, international team.
- Occasional travel required (approximately 10% of the time).
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills:

Must-have: Strong computer science fundamentals and strong mathematical background.

Must-have: Practical experience in embedded software development.

Must-have: Hands-on experience implementing public/private-key cryptosystems and broad knowledge of attacks on crypto systems.

Must-have: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to stay current with cryptography developments.

Must-have: Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Turkish.

Nice-to-have: Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.

Nice-to-have: Experience with ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V embedded development.

Nice-to-have: Knowledge of modern security algorithms, secure coding practices, and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
Education Requirements
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics is specified as the required degree field.
