Associate Engineer, Reliability Lab

Role Summary

The Associate Engineer, Reliability Lab executes semiconductor reliability tests and supports laboratory operations to ensure data integrity, equipment uptime, and compliance with quality standards. The role works within the reliability/test lab team to deliver qualification and process reliability monitoring aligned with customer and industry requirements.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career — the posting requests approximately 2 years of semiconductor-industry experience.

Responsibilities

Core duties performed in a controlled lab environment:

• Execute reliability test plans (qualification, process reliability monitoring, engineering evaluations).
• Prepare test samples, set up and operate test equipment, and maintain test conditions for data traceability.
• Collect, analyze, verify, and report reliability test data; ensure data integrity.
• Troubleshoot test and equipment issues with engineering guidance; support equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain required documentation and records.
• Ensure lab safety, ESD controls, housekeeping, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve lab efficiency, cycle time, and process robustness.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience (concise):

• ~2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in a semiconductor reliability or testing laboratory is required.
• Strong understanding of reliability test concepts and semiconductor processes.
• Experience operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting lab/test equipment; support equipment uptime.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems including ISO 17025, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001.
• Basic data analysis and reporting skills; attention to data accuracy and traceability.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of data analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Exposure to reliability stress tests (HCI, TDDB, BTI).
• Experience with measurement system analysis (MSA) or lab accreditation processes.

Education Requirements

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline is specified; equivalent practical experience is accepted. No Bachelor/Master/PhD requirement stated. Relevant technical certifications or formal lab accreditation experience are listed as advantageous but not required.
