Associate Engineer, Product Engineering (Product Development)

Role Summary

As an Associate Engineer on the Product Development team within Automotive Product Engineering, you will support new product introductions, yield and cost improvements, characterization, and manufacturing readiness for automotive semiconductor products. You will work cross-functionally with design, test, quality, and manufacturing teams to enable robust product launches and sustained production performance.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Recent graduates encouraged to apply; typically suitable for candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Assist with test, characterization, and data analysis for automotive products.
  • Support root-cause investigations on yield, quality, and reliability; document findings and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with test and manufacturing teams to resolve technical and manufacturability issues.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support project decisions.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Apply industry standards and quality requirements (e.g., AEC-Q100, ISO 26262) in development and testing activities.
  • Participate in process improvement and cost-reduction projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

  • Must-have: Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, test methodologies, and data analysis tools (Excel, JMP, or similar).
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective teamwork and communication.
  • Preferred: Internship or project experience in automotive, semiconductor, or electronics.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with automotive quality standards (AEC-Q100, ISO 26262).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field. Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
