Role Summary

As an Associate Engineer on the Product Development team you will design, develop, and implement cost-effective test and diagnostic methods for semiconductor products. The role supports product development and manufacturing by preparing test programs, designing fixtures and PCBs, and collaborating with engineers to ensure product quality.

This is an entry-level engineering role working with cross-functional teams across development and manufacturing.

Entry-level — 0–2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing test methods, implementing test programs, and supporting qualification and troubleshooting across product development phases.

• Design and implement cost-effective testing methodologies for systems and equipment.
• Assist in developing test and diagnostic programs to validate functionality and performance.
• Support design of test fixtures, evaluation boards, and PCBs for test setups.
• Define and document test setups and procedures for qualification and standards compliance.
• Assist in planning labor, schedules, and equipment allocation for testing activities.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during development and manufacturing.
• Ensure testing processes meet quality standards and document results.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical capabilities for this role:

• Test case development: ability to create structured test cases and verification steps.
• Diagnostic testing: basic knowledge of diagnostic methodologies and failure analysis.
• Test fixture design: fundamental experience designing simple test fixtures and equipment.
• Procedure development: ability to document clear, repeatable test procedures.
• Resource planning: basic skills in estimating labor, schedules, and equipment needs.
• Troubleshooting: analytical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
• Quality assurance: familiarity with quality standards applied to test processes.
• Qualification testing: understanding of qualification test concepts.
• PCB design: fundamental knowledge of PCB design for test/evaluation boards.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
