Role Summary
The Associate Product Engineer on the Engineering Services — Cost Improvement Team supports product cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives. The role assists with yield analysis, product characterization, qualification activities, test program optimization, and manufacturing process improvements.
Works cross-functionally with Product, Test, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering to identify and execute improvements that reduce cost, improve yield, and increase throughput.
Experience Level
Entry-level (fresh graduates encouraged); approximately 0–2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include supporting data-driven yield and cost improvement projects and assisting in product and process qualification.
- Collect, analyze, and report manufacturing and test data to identify yield and cost improvement opportunities.
- Monitor product yield, test performance, and manufacturing trends.
- Assist in product characterization, validation, and correlation for new products and changes.
- Support qualification activities for new materials, process changes, and test hardware upgrades.
- Participate in root cause investigations and failure analysis for yield and quality issues.
- Support test program optimization to reduce test time and increase throughput.
- Collaborate with Test Product Engineering, Test Development, Quality, Operations, and Planning teams to execute projects.
- Track project actions and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on yield, cost reduction, and capacity gains.
Requirements

- Basic knowledge of electronics fundamentals, circuit analysis, and semiconductor devices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with engineering and manufacturing data.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn semiconductor test, characterization, qualification, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Nice-to-have:
- Relevant internship, co-op, research, or project experience in semiconductor engineering.
Education Requirements
Graduate of a BS in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant internship, co-op, research, or project experience in semiconductor engineering is an advantage.
