Role Summary

The Associate Engineer, Equipment Engineering supports contactor manufacturing for semiconductor test operations. The role leads root-cause investigations, drives data-driven continuous improvement, qualifies replacement/contact technologies, and establishes manufacturability standards.

This position works with manufacturing, product engineering, equipment engineering, and suppliers to ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective contactor solutions.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on resolving recurring manufacturing issues, improving contactor performance, and supporting technology transitions.

  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for contactor-related manufacturing issues.
  • Analyze manufacturing, yield, and reliability data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; track KPIs.
  • Lead projects to improve contactor uptime, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide engineering support for contactor migration and qualification of replacement technologies.
  • Investigate contacting-related yield and test performance issues and recommend design/process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, specifications, and best practices for contactors.
