Job Title
Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
The Analog Design Engineer will design, simulate, implement, and document analog, mixed-signal, and power-management integrated circuits (ICs) for TI products. The role involves front-end circuit design work and exposure to back-end activities such as bench characterization, final test, and failure analysis.
Position sits in the product development engineering team in Freising, Germany and includes participation in TI's Career Accelerator Program for new graduates.
Experience Level
Entry-level β targeted at recent graduates (new Master's or PhD hires). Suitable for engineers early in their career with hands-on circuit design coursework or project experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define, design, model, implement and document analog, mixed-signal, and power-management IC blocks.
- Create schematics and perform circuit simulations to verify functionality and parametric performance.
- Support IC layout and run post-layout extracted simulations.
- Participate in bench characterization, final test, and failure analysis to validate designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design verification, digital, layout) and document technical work clearly.
- Engage in on-the-job learning and formal training to accelerate technical growth.
Requirements
Essential skills and attributes:
- Solid knowledge of analog circuit fundamentals (amplifiers, comparators, references, feedback control loops).
- Familiarity with power-management circuits such as DC-DC converters, LDOs, gate drivers, and voltage regulation techniques.
- Experience with circuit simulation tools and IC design methodologies.
- Understanding of mixed-signal concepts including digital control interfaces and analog-digital integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective written/verbal communication.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams, self-motivation, and good time-management/organizational skills.
- Nice-to-have: thesis, internship, coursework, or project experience specifically in analog or mixed-signal IC design.
Education Requirements
Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field with a focus on analog/mixed-signal IC design; candidates may be recent graduates or about to graduate. (Source specifies Master's or PhD level.)
