Job Title

Associate Engineer - Analog Design

Role Summary

Entry-level analog design role supporting schematic capture, layout, simulation, characterization, and verification within Semtech's analog engineering team. The position is hybrid with office presence Monday–Thursday in Stansted.

You'll work under senior engineers on bench testing, data analysis, CAD tool support and documentation to contribute to ongoing product development.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 0–2 years of experience in analog design, circuit engineering, or a related role.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Support schematic capture and layout; assist in developing basic analog blocks and components.
  • Run circuit simulations and develop/maintain simulation models.
  • Set up and operate lab equipment for analog testing and characterization; collect and organize performance data.
  • Assist with verification: compare measured results to simulations and specifications; participate in troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Maintain design documentation, revision control, and test data libraries.
  • Support analog CAD tools, analysis scripts, and test-fixture development.
  • Engage in structured learning and mentorship to build analog design skills.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in analog design or circuit engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of analog circuits and electronics principles.
  • Experience using circuit simulation tools and laboratory measurement equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics and specifications.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with semiconductor technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with circuit design tools, simulators, and test equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal technical communication.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in analog design.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required. The posting targets recent graduates and early-career engineers.
