Role Summary

Entry-level rotational position in Analog Devices' Sales Rotation Program. Participants complete an 18-month curriculum of four rotations to develop technical, customer-facing, and sales skills before transitioning into a Field Applications Engineer role.

The program is based in Wilmington, MA (also runs in Dallas, TX and San Jose, CA) and provides technical training, mentorship, and hands-on engineering experience supporting ADI products and customer systems.

Responsibilities

Perform practical, customer-focused engineering and sales support during rotations and prepare to join the sales organization as a Field Applications Engineer.

• Design, evaluate, and optimize customer hardware and software systems involving analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Use laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, etc.) for testing, debugging, and demonstrations.
• Develop technical presentations and demonstrations to educate customers on products and solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams (product management, marketing, engineering) to address customer needs.
• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical recommendations and system-level trade-offs.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support sales efforts.
• Participate in structured training, mentorship, and progressive rotations as part of the 18-month program.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and logistical expectations for candidates in the rotational program.

• Basic understanding of electronic schematics, PCB layouts, and electronic components.
• Knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, or digital circuit fundamentals (sensors, op amps, power management, data converters, processors, etc.).
• Hands-on lab skills: soldering, circuit debugging, and use of oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to relocate to a field location upon program completion and ability to travel up to 10% as required.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and ability to influence through clear communication and execution.
