Job Title

Associate Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

This is an entry-level analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design role. You will work under mentorship to assist with design, simulation, validation, documentation, and troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, skill development, and participation in design reviews and testing. Expected travel is up to 10%.

Experience Level

Entry-level - 0–2 years of relevant experience (graduate/early-career).

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include design support, simulation, testing, documentation, and team participation.

  • Assist in designing and developing analog and mixed-signal ICs (sensor interfaces, data converters, multiplexers, active/passive filters, power distribution).
  • Perform simulations and validation testing to verify performance against specifications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and test reports.
  • Participate in design reviews and cross-functional team meetings.
  • Support debugging and troubleshooting of analog circuit issues under supervision.
  • Use laboratory equipment to characterize and test designs following standard procedures.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tools.

  • Basic knowledge of analog circuit design (amplifiers, filters, data converters).
  • Foundational understanding of mixed-signal IC integration.
  • Basic proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE and Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers.
  • Basic CMOS technology knowledge relevant to integrated circuits.
  • Fundamental understanding of IC physical layout considerations.

Nice-to-have:

  • Internship or project experience in analog/mixed-signal design.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. 0–2 years of relevant experience expected. Internship or project experience in analog/mixed-signal design is a plus; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
