Assistant Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Support customer test requests and tool qualification by collecting on-tool data, developing and validating recipes, and preparing data summaries for engineering and customer engagements. Work is performed on-site in a manufacturing environment and requires cleanroom access and overnight shifts.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 1–2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Primary day-to-day tasks include:

• Collect on-tool data, spectra, logs, raw data and images per customer test requests.
• Develop and set up on-tool recipes; validate and qualify tool performance.
• Analyze and summarize data for problem resolution and plan-of-action (POA) development.
• Check and sort recipes and prepare engagement proposals and technical summaries.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to support troubleshooting and qualification activities.

Requirements

Must-have skills and work conditions:

• Good English communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Excel macros are a plus.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and to cover overnight shifts.
• Familiarity with collecting and managing instrument data and logs in a manufacturing setting.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering field (specified in posting).
