Role Summary
The Assembly & Test Quality & Data Engineer ensures product and process quality for assembly and test operations, with a focus on Statistical Bin Limit (SBL) control across internal and external backend manufacturing sites. The role works with cross-functional and global teams to detect and resolve quality issues, maintain governance, and deliver data-driven metrics and reporting.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include establishing and sustaining SBL controls and quality procedures, analyzing performance, and delivering data products to support decision-making.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and SBL-related business rules and guidelines.
- Define scope and governance for SBL and related Defense Line controls.
- Enable implementation, sustainment, and measurement of the assembly SBL process across sites.
- Host alignment teams and perform inspections, audits, and tests to ensure compliance with company rules and industry standards.
- Reduce false alarms and improve detection of non-conforming material; provide metrics to drive SBL performance.
- Deploy best-known methods and govern Level 3 Global AT Quality Procedures across the AT network.
- Analyze product and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and business reports to communicate SBL and product performance.
- Develop and maintain simple Python-based ETL pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Train and guide team members on quality standards, procedures, and data tools.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or a similar role in manufacturing/technology.
- Proven experience with Statistical Bin Limit (SBL) processes and SBL performance improvement.
- Strong Python skills and experience building simple ETL pipelines; familiarity with data analytics packages.
- Proficient in SQL and hands-on experience with database/cloud warehouses such as Snowflake and Google BigQuery.
- Experience creating visualizations and reports with Tableau, Power BI, or JMP.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies and industry standards (examples: ACQE001, AECQ002) and statistical/problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, Kepner-Tregoe methods).
- Strong analytical, statistical, and communication skills; ability to work effectively across global teams.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements for manufacturing quality.
Education Requirements
