Job Title
Assembly & Test Engineer
Role Summary
The Assembly & Test Engineer will develop and validate test solutions for high-volume SoC manufacturing. The role works within a test development team to define test methodologies, implement tester programs, and support silicon characterization and production test flows.
Primary mission: deliver robust ATE test programs, support mixed-signal and high-speed interface validation, and help the team meet project schedules and production targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically requires 5+ years of relevant ATE/test development experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include development, validation, and support of manufacturing test solutions and mentoring team members.
- Design and implement manufacturing test strategies for SoC devices (scan, IDDQ, JTAG, logic and memory BISTs).
- Develop and debug mixed-signal and RF test programs and setups.
- Implement and validate high-speed interface tests (PCIe, SATA, HDMI, DMI, transceivers, DAC/ADC, audio).
- Perform silicon signal analysis and digital/analog parametric characterization.
- Mentor and train technical team members and contribute to building the test development capability.
- Plan and manage project tasks to meet aggressive schedules; coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Perform other assigned work related to test development and production support.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and qualities for immediate effectiveness in the role.
- Minimum 5+ years of ATE test development experience with high-speed mixed-signal testers (experience with Teradyne UltraFLEX or Verigy 93k preferred).
- Strong programming experience (C++, VB/VBA, Perl, Python).
- Demonstrated knowledge of silicon integrated circuits and signal analysis.
- Experience with digital and analog parametric characterization.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; able to work in cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements
