Assembly and Test NPI Integrator

Role Summary

Coordinate and execute New Product Introduction (NPI) activities at the Penang assembly and test manufacturing facility to transition products from engineering builds into high-volume manufacturing. Serve as the primary integrator across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure manufacturing readiness and successful product startup.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in NPI, manufacturing, technology transfer, or related engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and track NPI execution to meet schedule, quality, and volume targets.

  • Develop and maintain detailed NPI execution plans, define tasks and dependencies, estimate effort and duration, and track project schedules.
  • Act as the primary coordination point for NPI build execution; engage cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
  • Monitor and publish Performance Against Schedule and ensure Critical Success Indicators (Recipe Check Out, Power On, Engineering Sample, Quality Sample, Factory Certification, Manufacturing Validation) are met.
  • Ensure manufacturing readiness by coordinating system setup, process flow definition, material readiness, and capacity availability for NPI builds and data collection.
  • Identify product and process challenges, lead structured root cause analysis, align risk mitigation actions, and coordinate resolution with functional owners.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) alignment and collaborate with technical experts to implement solutions during NPI execution.
  • Document NPI deliverables including process flow, build routing, BOM, qualification artifacts, and support factory certification preparation.

Requirements

Essential technical skills and professional capabilities required to perform the role.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in NPI, manufacturing, technology transfer, or related engineering roles. (Must-have)
  • Knowledge of assembly and/or test processes and test development transfer methodologies. (Must-have)
  • Experience with statistical data analysis and manufacturing performance monitoring. (Must-have)
  • Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills. (Must-have)
  • Project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. (Must-have)
  • Experience leading investigations, performing structured root cause analysis, and coordinating corrective actions. (Must-have)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing readiness activities, BOM/process documentation, and factory qualification processes. (Must-have)

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. The posting specifies a degree in engineering or an equivalent technical field.
