Assembly and Test NPI Integrator

Role Summary

The New Product Integrator coordinates and executes New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to move products from engineering builds into high-volume manufacturing at the Penang assembly and test facility.

This role serves as the primary coordination point across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to plan NPI execution, ensure manufacturing readiness, track schedule performance, and resolve technical and process issues during startup.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” minimum 5 years of relevant experience in NPI, manufacturing, technology transfer, or related engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, coordinating, tracking, and improving NPI execution to achieve product startup milestones and manufacturing readiness.

  • Plan and manage NPI execution activities, developing detailed execution plans with tasks, dependencies, estimates, and schedules.
  • Act as the primary integrator for NPI build execution, coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain).
  • Track and publish Performance Against Schedule and Critical Success Indicators for key milestones (e.g., Recipe Check Out, Power On, Engineering Sample, Quality Sample, Factory Certification, Manufacturing Validation).
  • Coordinate system setup, process flow definition, material readiness, and capacity allocation to support NPI builds and data collection.
  • Work with technical experts to identify solutions to product/process challenges and drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) alignment.
  • Lead investigations of issues impacting NPI deliverables, perform root cause analysis, define risk mitigation, and coordinate resolution with owners.
  • Monitor and follow up on recovery actions to meet NPI schedules and sample volume commitments with acceptable quality.
  • Document NPI readiness artifacts (process flow, build routing, BOM, qualification artifacts) and support factory certification preparations.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for successful performance in this role.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in NPI, manufacturing, technology transfer, or related engineering roles.
  • Knowledge of assembly and/or test processes and TD transfer methodologies.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis and performance tracking.
  • Strong collaboration skills; experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective-action coordination.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field is required or equivalent practical experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
